Belvai Sep 01, 2024: On account of the Nativity of Mother Mary, parish St. Anna Stree Sangatan organized a Quiz Contest "SAVAL ZAVAB" for all parish children from class 1 to class 10.
Fr. Joseph Alphonse Cardoza, Parish Priest declared the contest open by clicking on the slide revealing the Quiz Contest's start. Before that, he invoked God's blessings and wished all children good luck. He also appreciated the collective efforts by Parish Stree Sagatan for organizing it and motivating the young minds.
The quiz contest had 4 rounds. The first round of questions was about Mother Mary, the Diocese of Mangalore, the Paris Olympics, General Knowledge, and the Bible. The second one was the Audio Buzzer round, and the Third round was based on Saints which was the Bouns round with 2 clues to choose from, and the final round was the Rapid Fire round were logos were to be answered.
Children from class 1 to 10 were equally divided into 5 groups. All were overwhelmed by the questions and rounds, with some children sharing their experiences, one said winning or losing is not important, what's important is how we participate, and another said we learned new things today through this quiz. Another kid said even though we made some mistakes, we learned from our mistakes.
Overall the contest was filled with excitement as every team was trying to excel and each round saw a new team being the topper.
Parish Council Vice President Lavina Cardoza, Secretary Jacintha Rego, 21 Pastoral Commissions Convenor Veera Pereira, and Stree Sagatan Belvai President Anitha Maschrenhas, Secretary Lidwin Cardoza were present. Parents, Stree Sangtan office bearers, and members and parishioners took part as spectators.
The whole contest was hosted by Prima Ferrao & Lavina Cardoza.
